Arjun Kapoor is certainly on a roll, with two digital releases last week: Sardar Ka Grandson and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. While the actor has a pending shot on Ek Villain 2 in which he will be paired against John Abraham, he also has Bhoot Police, a horror-comedy starring Saif Ali Khan, set for an OTT release on Disney+Hotstar.
For those who are unaware, Ajay’s most recent film, Section 375, starring Akshaye Khanna, Richa Chaddha, Meera Chopra, and Rahul Bhatt, was a commercial and critical triumph. Bhushan Kumar and Shaailesh R Singh produced a romantic thriller. The premise might be a love triangle, with Arjun as the protagonist and two ladies.
The production team is also waiting for the lockdown limitations to be eased before planning the filming schedule, according to the insider. The source said of the character, “The character, however flamboyant, demanded a certain level of discipline, and the director gave Arjun the film after seeing Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.” Arjun was very prompt in accepting the offer as he loved the romantically thrilling world that an acclaimed filmmaker like Ajay has given birth to, the source added.
Before everyone jumps to conclusions, this isn’t the same script that Ajay was going to make with Kartik Aaryan under Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies banner.
