SS Rajamouli film, Roudram Ranam Rudhiram (RRR) is one of the most awaited movies. The film is once again in the news as New sources stated that the film’s post-theatrical satellite and digital rights have been sold for a massive amount of Rs 325 crores.
“Bahubali was a smash hit on all mediums – theatrical, television, digital – and the trade is expecting the same from RRR too. The makers have sold the post-release satellite and digital rights (All Languages) of RRR to Zee Group for a humongous sum in the range of Rs 325 crore, thereby making it the biggest post-release deal of all time. The satellite and digital rights have been transferred by Jayatilal Gada to Zee Group,” revealed a source close to the development, adding further that the group has acquired the satellite and digital rights for all languages.
Apart from this, RRR also bagged the Hindi theatrical rights at Rs 140 crore. With all exclusive deals, RRR has now become the first movie to fetch such a huge amount of money ahead of its release.
The movie ‘RRR’ shows Ram Charan and Jr NTR reprising the younger versions of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem — the revolutionary freedom fighters from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They stay away from home (in Delhi) before they began to fight for the country. The film is set against the backdrop of the independence era.
Jr NTR recently revealed the look of his character Komaram Bheem in RRR. The actor shared the look with fans on his birthday , he captioned the picture, “He’s a rebel full of heart. It’s been a pleasure to play this intence role and I am happy to introduce to you all one of my biggest challenges so far. #KomaramBheem from #RRRmovie”.
