Paresh Rawal, one of the most popular actors in the film industry, has just become a victim of a shocking death hoax. A Twitter user claimed that the actor is no more. The user shared an image of Paresh Rawal on Twitter that mentioned that the actor died on May 14 at 7 am.
Thousands of fans shared the story on various social media platforms. Several Twitter users even asked the actor to confirm whether he is alive or not.
Responding to it, the 65-year-old actor wrote, “Sorry for the misunderstanding as I slept past 7 am,” on Twitter. He additionally added a folded hand emoji initially of his tweet.
Thousands of his followers requested Paresh Rawal to take action against the matter and wished him healthy and long life.
“Action should be taken for such tweets. We are so much emotionally weak these days, such false news can be fatal. God give you long life sir,” a Twitter user commented, whereas a different one wrote: “May god bless you with long life sir.”
Celebrities being targeted through death hoaxes is nothing new. In the past, several fake news of major celebrities passing away have circulated previously. Earlier this week, TV actor Mukesh Khanna had also quashed the false rumours about his death with a social media post. The Shaktimaan actor had shared a video of himself to deny his death rumours. “I am perfectly alright,” Mukesh Khanna had said in the video.
