There’s good news for Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor as the couple is all ready to welcome their second baby sometime this month. Saif recently announced that he will be on paternity leave once the baby arrives. Though the actor faced some criticism for his decision, Saif gave a wonderful explanation for the same. In a recently held interview, the actor opened up about the choice he made and why he wishes to watch his children grow.
In the interview, Saif said it is always important to choose kids over work though both are equally important. He said: “Who wants to work when you have a newborn at home! If you don’t see your children growing up, you’re making a mistake. And I can take time off from work—it’s a privileged position. Rather than follow a 9-to-5 routine, I live like an actor. Your dharma and approach to everything are based on your career.”
The Tandav actor further said that he believes in taking breaks as it is important to take care of his health. Saif added: “My self-care involves looking good for films, and that involves doing everything right—eating healthy, sleeping well, being happy and mentally at peace.”
Lovebirds Saif and Kareena welcomed their first child Taimur Ali Khan –in 2016. The couple announced the news of Kareena’s second pregnancy in August last year. On the work front, Saif is all set to feature in Adipurush alongside Prabhas and Kareena will be shooting for Laal Singh Chadha the shoot of which is underway.
