Fans of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani will be able to experience their magic after a long wait, as their film Shershaah has apparently been given a direct release on Amazon Prime Video. The film has been making headlines since Sidharth and Kiara began filming. In the midst of the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, the film’s producers reportedly couldn’t afford to keep it running any longer.
The film was planned to come out in the middle of 2020. It was, however, postponed due to the COVID 19 outage. During this time, various OTT services such as Netflix and Prime Video were said to be in talks. And, according to reports, Prime Video was able to strike a deal with the filmmakers.
Sidharth underwent training for his part as a Kargil War hero, and the shoot began in 2019. The film follows Captain Vikram Batra, a Param Vir Chakra awardee who devoted his life for his country during the Kargil War of 1999. In the film, Sidharth will play both Captain Vikram Batra and his twin brother Vishal Batra.
