Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, known for his looks, dance moves and excellent acting skills is soon going to start shooting for the Indian adaption of John Le Carre’s spy drama, The Night Manager.
The actor will play an Indian rendition of the Jonathan Pine character, which was played by Tom Hiddleston in the 2016 adaption. It was broadcast on the BBC and AMC, and was produced by The Ink Factory.
The forthcoming Indian adaption will be shot in Mumbai and is scheduled to go into production in April. Some international locations will follow after travel becomes easier.
Executives close to the deal said that an official announcement is imminent. Although not confirmed yet, the Indian version of the spy drama is likely to premiere on Indian streamer Disney Plus Hotstar.
Sandeep Modi, who co-created and co-directed the popular Hotstar series Aarya, will be helming the upcoming Indian adaptation.
The Night Manager is a 1993 novel by British author John Le Carre, who died in December 2020. The story revolves around the night director of a lavish lodging, a previous trooper, who is enlisted by an administration undercover work association, to penetrate the inward hover of an arms seller.
