Virat Kohli said that he doesn’t know how to express his gratitude after his COVID-19 relief campaign in India raised over Rs 11 crore. Virat and his wife Anushka Sharma revealed last week that they were launching a fundraising campaign for Covid relief. The celebrity couple contributed Rs 2 crore to the cause and urged others to “come together and support our India.”
On Friday, the captain of the Indian cricket team declared on Twitter that the campaign had “exceeded our goal not once, but twice.”
Virat Kohli wrote, as well as sharing GFX that showed the exact amount earned, saying that words can’t explain how grateful they are to have exceeded the target not once, but twice, thanks to each and every one of you. “Thank you very much to everyone who has contributed, shared, and supported in some way. We’re all #InThisTogether, and we’ll get through this together,” he added.
