According to AAP MLA Atishi, Delhi received over 60,000 Covaxin doses on Tuesday for main staff and those over 45.
Despite this, she said, the city only has two days of Covaxin stock left for this category, while Covishield doses for the community will last up to four days.
She also reported that on May 17, 1.13 lakh people were vaccinated. Since the inoculation campaign started on January 16, about 10.75 lakh people have received both doses.
She announced that the city will only have three days of Covishield stock remaining for the 18-44 age group after Tuesday evening. “We appeal to the central government to make more vaccines available for this category immediately,” she said adding that the city government would have to suspend vaccinations for them as early as next week.
