Football is not just a sport; it’s a feeling, a passion.
And no one is a better example of this than Manipur’s Kunal Shreshtha.
The 9-year-old boy plays football with one limb.
Hailing from Imphal’s Kanglatongbi, Kunal was born with a single limb.
But that didn’t stop him from falling in love with the game.
His courage and love for the sport helped him overcome all difficulties.
Kunal’s parents have been his pillar of strength.
They always motivated him and never let him feel different from other kids.
Kunal initially faced problems in balancing and was scared.
But with time and practice, he was able to master the game.
Kunal developed a love for the game by kicking Nobaps or Chinese grapefruit.
Not only does he play football using crutches but can also cycle.
Kunal’s parents say when his cousins watched cartoons, he would flip the channel to sports.
The fourth grader admires Ajay Chhetri of Bengaluru Football Club.
He hopes to be a professional football player in future.
