Young architect Arun Prabhu has designed a mobile home on top of an auto-rickshaw in Chennai.
The portable house named SOLO.01 was made using a second-hand Bajaj pickup auto.
The 23-year-old completed the whole process in 5 months with the help of his teammates.
The 36sqft house on wheels can fulfil the needs of two adults.
It contains all basic amenities, including a portable toilet, exhaust fan, gas stove, racks, closet, bed, laptop shelf and bathtub.
He made use of discarded materials like metal scrap for building the home.
Use of recycled objects reduced the entire production cost to Rs 1.5 lakh.
The structure is fixed with just 6 bolts to the vehicle.
This can be easily unscrewed and even fixed to any other vehicle.
Arun aspires to promote conceptual architecture in order to enhance innovation by making maximum use of minimum space.
