A Haryana boy has set a record for doing the maximum number of push-ups in 30 seconds.
Seven-year-old Martin’s record was confirmed by the Asia Book of Records as well India Book of Records on December 5.
A video of the prodigy shows him placing his arms wide apart before he starts performing the feat. Martin performed 57 push-ups in 30 seconds.
The Asia Book of Records called the boy “Grand Master” for setting the record at such a young age.
Martin has inherited his sportsman genes from his father Sanjay Mallik.
Sanjay was a gold medalist in athletics in his younger days but was forced to quit the sport after sustaining a major injury.
Martin used to accompany his father to the field every week on Sundays ever since he was less than three years of age.
However, it was during the pandemic-imposed lockdown that Martin’s passion towards setting world records materialised.
To achieve his goals, he began taking a high-protein diet, which included a variety of fruits and dry fruits along with an all-natural diet.
Martin aims to set many more records in the coming years.
