Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has often garnered praise and appreciation from his fans across India for his philanthropic work towards the needy.
The 47-year-old is often dubbed as the “Messiah of Migrants” for helping migrants, especially during the Covid-19-induced lockdown. He is now set to be felicitated with the Humanitarian of 2020 Award.
The said award is considered to be the most prestigious awards at Bollywood Festival Norway.
It has been reported that the actor will virtually be conferred with the award and a diploma on December 30 by Ms Ragnhild Bergheim, the mayor of Lorenskog, Osla, Norway, .
Nasrullah Qureshi, director of the Bollywood Festival Norway, has confirmed the news, adding honoring the actor for his selfless efforts was unanimously decided by the team.
Bollywood Festival Norway is one of the esteemed film festivals that screens some of the best movies while also honoring film personalities for their contribution to the movie industry.
The Dabangg actor was earlier rewarded with SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award by the United Nations Development Programme.
