The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) on May 18 extended the deadline for schools to submit the Class 10th internal assessment marks to the Board by around 20 days to June 30, 2021. Earlier, the schools were told to submit these internal assessment marks of Class 10th students by June 11, 2021, while June 5 was the last date to submit marks (out of 80) based on the formula suggested by the CBSE.
The decision has been taken as India sees world’s highest daily cases .
According to an official statement from the board, “CBSE accords the highest priority to safety and health of the teachers”, “Keeping in view the situation of the pandemic, lockdown in states”, schools have been given extension in their marks submission deadlines till June 30, however, “result committee can make its own schedule based on the scheme provided by CBSE”. The deadline, however, will be 30 June.
There will be no exams for CBSE Class 10 student this year. The result will be released based on a special criterion.
All affiliated schools have to upload the mark sheet of students on the E-Pareeksha portal within the given time. The Delhi government has asked CBSE to relax the deadline.
