India has registered 1,32,364 new cases and 2,713 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on June 4 morning.
On a continued downward slope, India’s active caseload further declined to 16,35,993; less than 2 Lakh since 8 successive days which now comprises 5.73 per cent of the total infections.
The recovery rate is 93.08 per cent, the data stated.
More than 2.65 crore persons have recovered from COVID across the country so far.
A total of 1,32,364 new infections were registered in a day, while the death count increased to 3,40,702 with 2,713 daily new fatalities.
The top five states which have registered maximum cases are Tamil Nadu with 24,405 cases, followed by Kerala with 18,853 cases, Karnataka with 18,324 cases, Maharashtra with 15,229 cases and Andhra Pradesh with 11,421 cases. Maharashtra also reported the maximum daily fatalities with 643 deaths.
