Over 60 enigmatic cubes engraved with Hindu prayer rituals have been found in England’s Sowe river.
A fisherman from the UK’s Finham unearthed the “lead blocks” while scouring for precious metals.
Most of the cubes weighed around 125gm and were 2cm in length.
The inscriptions are thought to be in Sanskrit.
3-by-3 tables were found to be engraved on each cube face.
The table is an ankh-yantra, specifically Rahu yantra in Devanagari script.
The use of these yantras as remedial measures dates back to the age of classical India.
Will Read also found a dozen punctured pennies and a coin with goddess Durga inscribed on one side and “Shri” on the other.
