- Bihar results: NDA gets majority on 125 seats, set to form govt again: The BJP put up a winning performance in the Bihar Assembly polls leading the ruling NDA to obtain majority. The Election Commission of India announced results of the polls in the early hours on Wednesday. The NDA won an absolute majority of 125 seats, three more than the halfway mark needed for a victory.
- BJP gets 19 seats in MP, seals Assembly majority: The Bharatiya Janata Party achieved a major victory in the bypolls held to 28 legislative Assembly constituencies in Madhya Pradesh. The party was winning and leading in 19 seats, while Opposition Congress, which won 27 of these seats in the 2018 state Assembly elections, could win or lead in just nine.
