- Farmers up ante before talks: As farmer unions and the Centre are set to resume their sixth round of talks on Wednesday, the protesting farmers have written to the government saying the discussion can only be on a four-point agenda, including modalities of repealing the laws and providing a legal guarantee on minimum support price.
- MP cabinet approves religion bill: The Madhya Pradesh government has approved the Freedom to Religion Bill 2020 as an ordinance in a special cabinet session. It will now be sent to the governor for her approval.

- Salary hike for Telangana govt employees: Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to increase the salaries of all government employees, raise their age of superannuation and to make recruitments in all government departments as a New Year gift to them.

- VP in Bengaluru for 3-day visit: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu landed at Bengaluru airport for a three-day visit on Tuesday. He visited Hosakote in Bengaluru rural district and the Centre for Research and Education in Science and Technology.
