The makers of the movie, Warner Brothers have yet again postponed the release of eagerly awaited Godzilla vs Kong movie. The movie will hit the theatres on March 31. Earlier, it was expected that the movie will come on floors in May.
On the bright side, the movie is slated to have both theatrical and digital premiere on the same date. It will be streamed on HBO Max platform. The delay happened as MGM too suspended the release of James Bond sequel ‘No Time to Die’ from April 2 to October 8.
Moreover, movies such as Sony’s Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway which was presumed to have an April release, is now pushed for a summer release in June.
This will be the fourth movie under the banner of Legendary Leisure’s monster universe entertainment series following Godzilla, Kong Skull Island and Godzilla : King of Monsters.
Eric Pearson and Max Borenstein have written the script for the action- packed movie. The trailer of the movie was unveiled on January 25, wherein Godzilla and Kong were seen locking horns. A creepy-crawly hair-raising plot features two monsters battling off. It stars Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Corridor, and Brian Tyree Henry, amongst others.
According to sources, the film talks about, “Legends collide in Godzilla vs Kong as these mythic adversaries meet in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home, and with them is Jia, a young orphaned girl with whom he has formed a unique and powerful bond. But they unexpectedly find themselves in the path of an enraged Godzilla, cutting a swath of destruction across the globe. The epic clash between the two titans — instigated by unseen forces — is only the beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the Earth.”
