A pilot and a paraglider died after they crashed in a farm land in Hanuwantiya village of Khandwa district, near a tourists spot in Madhya Pradesh.
The heart-wrenching incident took place after technical glitches were reported from the engine-powered paraglider. The state tourism department is conducting a two-month Jal Mahotsav at the famous water and adventure sports.
Taking cognizance of the incident, Khandwa district collector has ordered a magisterial probe into the matter and examine the cause of the death
. Anay Dwivedi said, “The incident was reported this afternoon when pilot of a powered paraglider, identified as Balchad, 32, son of Ramprasad Dangi of Bhagora village in Rajgarh and Surendra Singh Rajput, 28, of Pali district in Rajasthan who is brother of owner of the company that was offering the service crashed in a farmland.”
Taking to Twitter chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan condoled the death of the duo.
The duo were immediately rushed to a government-run hospital in Mundi Tehsil, where the doctors declared them ‘brought dead’.
The district SDM have also urged locals, who had rushed to the incident spot in a bid to rescue the duo, to provide images, videos and other required information.
