The Congress slammed the BJP’s Bangalore South MP Tejasvi Surya for naming 17 Muslim names in connection with the suspected bed-blocking scam in Bengaluru’s south municipal zone on Wednesday. The full list of workers employed in the BBMP South zone war room answering Covid-19 distress calls was issued by Congress.
“The BBMP war room in the south zone employs 205 people. Tejasvi Surya, on the other hand, preferred to call 17 Muslim names. Syed Naseer Hussain, a Congress Rajya Sabha MP, told reporters, “This is a third-class, third-rated, gutter-class mindset.”
“Crystal Infosystems & Services, which was recommended by a BJP minister, outsourced these 205 people. Is Tejasvi Surya deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deal. He singled out 17 Muslims among the 205 people present. Is he ashamed of himself? Tejasvi has previously demonstrated this mentality.” Hussain said.
Surya’s reading of the 17 Muslim names, as well as MLAs Satish Reddy and Ravi Subramanya’s “communal” remarks, has gone viral.
The Congressman wanted to know how Surya came up with the names of the 17 people. “Can you tell me who Tejasvi Surya is? Is he an officer in charge of the investigation? Who gave the other 188 people in the war room a clean bill of health?
We need a vaccine not only for Covid-19 but also for Tejasvi Surya’s communalism,” he said, challenging the BJP MP to speak out against the BS Yediyurappa administration’s “failures.”
Three of the four BJP leaders who went public with their allegations about the bed-blocking scam, according to Congress spokesperson Brijesh Kalappa, belonged to one caste (Brahmins). “Tejasvi Surya runs a trust that has been distributing beds to people of their choice and is engaged in blackmailing. Can beds be given to people of only one caste?” he asked.
