Preparations for the swearing-in ceremony of Joe Biden are in place. The newly elected president of The United States of America will be the oldest prez in the history of the country.
The 46th president will share the stage with Kamala Harris who will take the oath as vice-president tonight. As anticipated, current president Donald Trump has turned down the invitation. Hence, he will be the second acting president in the history who has declined to attend the inauguration of his next-in-line chief.
Preceding presidents like Barack Obama, George W Bush and Bill Clinton will partake in the high-profile ceremony. Besides these political figures, pop idols and famous names will be a part of the event. According to a source, there will be live performances by artists Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez. A television special broadcast named ‘Celebrating America’ will be aired in the evening wherein Tom Hanks will play a host and the show will have special performances by Justin Timberlake, Demi Lovato, Jon Bon Jovi, Ant Clemons and John Legend.
‘A star is born’singer Jennifer Lopez will be doing a special show, followed by a poetry reading by Amanda Gorman. Bruce Springsteen and Foo Fighters will also be staging a performance at the event. Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington will have particular appearances throughout the night fall.
Also, the ritualistic ceremony of inaugural balls won’t take place due to safety reasons. The gala event that ticks off in the evening of the inauguration day sees distinctive appearances made by the president, first lady, vice-president and second lady respectively.
