Authorities on Wednesday conducted random Covid-19 tests on commuters coming from Delhi to Noida.
The move comes amid rising coronavirus cases in Delhi-NCR.
Health officials dressed in PPE kits conducted rapid antigen tests using swabs.
The test provides results in approximately 15 minutes.
People who tested positive were sent back to Delhi while those testing negative were allowed to enter Noida.
Policemen were also stationed at the desks to ensure smooth testing.
The tests are being conducted to assess the spread of the infection.
It will also be used to issue advisories to firms where a large number of people work together.
Delhi has witnessed a sharp spike in cases since October 28, when the daily record breached 5,000-mark.
It recorded 1,200 deaths between November 1 and 16.
