The hot-button issue over the controversial web series, Tandav, seems to have no end in sight. The makers of the movie have allegedly nipped off two troubleshooting scenes from the series.
But fresh trouble broke out on Wednesday, after an FIR was registered against the makers, this time in Madhya Pradesh. Above all, there are rising threats of more trouble in Maharashtra.
A ticklish scene of a play along with a conversation between prominent characters is snipped off. The scenes were from the first episode ‘Tanashah’ of the nine-episode political fable.

The cast and crew of the series have publicly apologised yet again and stated that they have resorted to make changes in the plot to settle concerned voices.
The heart of the issue is a scene where Zeeshan Ayyub is seen playing a college boy who is staging a performance as Shiva (the Hindu god, Mahadev) in the play. The scene features a conversation between Lord Shiva and Narad Muni in the theatrical performance which has given birth to the thorny problem.
Above that a dialogue exchanged between Soni’s character and Sandhya Mridul has been trimmed due to explicit mention of caste in the scene.
The show directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and starring Bollywood bigwigs Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, sunk into more trouble.
Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh exclaimed that police in the state had received a complaint and a legal action would be taken in regard with the law. The minister is demanding for a law to regulate OTT (over the top) platforms so as to ensure that there is no discrimination based on caste nor there are any instances of communal tension and violence shown.
“We have received a complaint. We will register an FIR and take action formally.” Although, he did not clarify who had lodged the complaint for the same.
