Netflix web series Bridgerton, launched in December 25, has been watched by 63 million households in its first four weeks, according to Netflix statistics. Bridgerton is the fifth most popular Netflix release of all time and has garnered huge success by staying on top 1 since the day of its release.
Bridgerton is not winning hearts with just its storyline but also with some of its intimate scenes between the actors. However, the stars seem to be upset as all is not well with regard to the successful series.
As per reports, few scenes from the web series have ended up on porn sites much to the dismay of the stars. After finding this out, Netflix has issued a statement which says: “working tirelessly to hunt down pirates who have uploaded the more intimate moments from the show.”
Also, few of the sex scenes have been taken down from the X-rated platforms after the stars including Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page were left feeling horrified and angered after finding themselves on those websites.
Several publications have reported: “Bridgerton’s sex scenes appearing alongside some of the most obscene material the web has to offer has sparked horror and anger. It’s been particularly distressing for Phoebe (Dynevor) and Regé-Jean (Page), two young actors who signed on for the role of a lifetime and did not consent to being exploited in this way.”
