Taapsee Pannu will kick-off shooting for ‘Shaabash Mithu’ a biopic based on the life of celebrated cricketer Mithali Raj from April this year. A source revealed that “Taapsee will start shooting for Shabaash Mithu from the first week of April in Mumbai. She is presently busy with Loop Lapeta, but practises for the game after the shoot depending on her schedule. Her cricket trainers too are in Goa with Taapsee to help her with the game. She will wrap up the filming for Loop Lapeta in the next 10 to 12 days, after which the actress will start investing more hours for her cricket training which is expected to go on for a month.”
It is been speculated that Mithali Raj and Taapsee will train together for a few days before the movie shoot kick-starts. This is going to be another milestone of sorts. For our captain cool @M_Raj03 and all her #WomenInBlue.”
After the film was announced, Taapsee opened up about what made her take up the movie. “I don’t think I want to trade this place with anyone else right now. She has always been brave and strong to back truth and her idols, and that is the connection I feel with her. The way she changed the way women’s cricket is perceived and seen in India is truly a story worth telling,” the Pink actress said in a statement.
