Shooting for a YouTube channel went wrong after a man was shot and killed on Friday night in the parking lot of a Tennessee business during the video shooting for a robbery ‘prank’.
Nashville police rushed to the spot where the accused, David Starnes Jr., 23, confessed to have shot Timothy Wilks, 20. The homicide unit is investigating the fatal accident in what was claimed to be a self-defense in the shooting.
According to eye-witnesses, Wilks along with his friends had participated in a ‘prank’ robbery for their channel during which they approached a group of people, including Starnes, with butcher knives.
Starnes claims he was aware of the prank and shot Wilks in order to defend himself and the people he was with.
No one has been charged in connection with Wilks’ death, while the investigation is still underway.
