Former India Test cricketer Wasim Jaffer and former England captain Michael Vaughan renewed their Twitter feud after the latter said that New Zealand captain Kane Willamson would be the “greatest player in the world” if he were Indian.
People call Virat Kohli the greatest player to “have a few more clicks and likes,” Vaughan said in an interview with Spark Sport.
Since his retirement, Jaffer has gained a reputation for making amusing comments on social media, and he did not mince his words when he mocked Vaughan with a reference to Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan.
While retweeting a Hindustan Times Sports copy, Jaffer wrote on Twitter, “Extra ungli Hrithik ke paas hai par karta Michael Vaughan hai.”
Vaughan was quick to respond to Jaffer’s remarks, and he wrote back: “I presume you are agreeing with me Wasim!!” In an interview, Vaughan said that Kane Williamson would be the best player in the world if he were Indian. But he isn’t and you can’t tell Virat Kohli isn’t the best because you’ll get hammered on social media.
