A shooting in Wisconsin claimed the lives of three people, including a suspect, on Saturday after the shooter opened fire at a restaurant associated with a tribal casino in Green Bay.
According to Brown County Sheriff Lt. Kevin Pawlak, the gunman was aiming for a worker he knew but was not present at the site. Instead, the suspect shot dead two of the target’s coworkers, following which the officials felled the gunman outside the hotel connected to the Oneida Casino. It was also revealed that a third person was seriously injured in the incident.
Operated by Oneida Nation, the casino is connected to a hotel and a conference center, the Radisson, owned by the same group. Moreover, after the gunfire broke out, the police evacuated the hotel premises and neighboring properties as a safety protocol.
Furthermore, soon after the incident unfolded, Wisconsin Attorney General, Josh Kaul, released an update regarding the situation. “Scene at Oneida Casino in Green Bay, WI is contained. There is no longer a threat to the community.” he tweeted.
