India reported around 3,92,488 cases of Covid-19, while 3,689 ailing patients succumbed to their illness in the last 24 hours, pushing the death toll to 2,15,542. Meanwhile, the Covid-19 tally rose to 1,95,57,457.
Moreover, the figures updated at 8 in the morning manifested that the active cases have crossed the mark of 33 lakh cases in the country. While the active cases increased to 33,49,644, the recovery rate dropped to 81.77 percent. However, in the past 24 hours, around 3,07,865 patients were discharged from the hospital, making a total of 1,59,92,271 recovery cases. The fatality rate has also dropped to 1.10 percent.
Out of all the 3,689 fatalities in India, 802 deaths were from Maharashtra, 304 in Uttar Pradesh, 412 in Delhi, 271 in Karnataka, 229 in Chhattisgarh, 169 in Jharkhand, 172 in Gujarat, 160 in Rajasthan, 169 in Jharkhand, 147 in Tamil Nadu, 125 in Haryana, 138 in Punjab, 107 in Uttarakhand, 102 in Madhya Pradesh, and 103 deaths were reported in West Bengal.
Furthermore, in the third phase of vaccine drive from the age group of 18-44, 84,599 people have already administered their first dose of the vaccine, while the others anticipate their turn.
