Bollywood film producer and Mandira Bedi’s husband Raj Kaushal died of a heart attack early morning on June 30.
Filmmaker Onir confirmed the news on social media and wrote, “Gone too soon. We lost Filmmaker and Producer @rajkaushal1 this morning. Very Sad. He was one of the producers of my first film #MyBrotherNikhil. One of those few who believed in our vision and supported us. Prayers for his soul.”
Confirming the news to media, family-friend and actor Rohit Roy said, “He passed away today morning, at around 4.30 am at his home. He had a heart attack.”
Neha Dhupia, a very close friend of Raj Kaushal reportedly spent time with him over the weekend, wrote on Instagram, “Raj, we took this picture to create more and more memories. Can’t believe you are not with us anymore. Mandira, my strong, strong girl, I am at a loss of words. My heart belongs to Vir and Tara. I’m shaken up and in shock and disbelief as I write this, RIP Raj.”
Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit wrote, “Shocked to hear about the sad demise of our colleague #RajKaushal an ace filmmaker due to massive heart attack this morning. Our heartfelt condolences to his wife @mandybedi for this huge tragedy. We stand by you & your entire family in this hour of crisis.”
Kaushal and Mandira Bedi tied the knot in February 1999. The couple welcomed their first child Vir in 2011. Last year, they adopted a daughter, Tara Bedi Kaushal.
Raj Kaushal was a Bollywood producer. He started his career as an actor. Besides being a film producer, Raj Kaushal was also a writer and a director.
