Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on June 21 made a humble appeal to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who has been criticizing the Centre over its vaccination policy, to get himself vaccinated against Covid-19.
“The country does not know if Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has yet vaccinated himself or not. If you (Rahul Gandhi) have not got the Covid-19 vaccine yet, my humble appeal is that please get yourself vaccinated,” Mr Prasad said while speaking to reporters in Patna.
Last week, Congress informed that party chief Sonia Gandhi has taken both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine while Rahul Gandhi could not take the jabs yet as he had contracted the virus in May.
“Congress president Sonia Gandhi has taken both doses of the vaccine. Rahul Gandhi will take the vaccine will take the vaccine after his mandatory wait period ends,” senior Congress leader told the media.
According to a senior party leader, Rahul Gandhi was scheduled to take the vaccine on May 16, but he tested positive for the coronavirus disease a day before.
