The pilot of an Indian Air Force (IAF) MiG-21 fighter plane died in a crash near Moga in Punjab late Thursday night, according to the IAF. The plane was on a routine training mission when it crashed in Moga’s Langeana village.
Taking to Twitter, the IAS said in a statement, “There was an aircraft accident last night involving a Bison aircraft of IAF in the western sector. The pilot, Sqn Ldr Abhinav Choudhary, sustained fatal injuries. IAF condoles the tragic loss and stands firmly with the bereaved family.”

It added that a Court of Inquiry has been established to determine the cause of the accident involving an IAF Bison aircraft in the western sector.
