“There is no role in life that is more essential than that of motherhood regardless of how far we reach in life, how effective we become and how old we get,” said Bollywood actor Kajol Devgn as she opened up about motherhood. The actor is married to Ajay Devgn and the couple has two children – daughter Nysa and son Yug. The DDLJ actor opines that a mother and her children’s relationship is the purest, and nothing can come in between them. Bollywood is filled with lovable moms, and one such mother is Kajol, who adores her children, Nysa and Yug and is very protective about them.
Daughter of veteran actress, Tanuja Samarth and late producer and director, Shomu Mukherjee, Kajol has consistently demonstrated that acting is in her genes. Recipient of various honors, Kajol holds the record of winning the maximum number of Best Actress awards. In 2011, she was honored with Padma Shri. It was in 1994, when during the shooting of film ‘Gundaraj’ Kajol had fallen in love with actor Ajay Devgn and the couple got married on February 24,1999.
Revealing about how her mother once told her that a child should be taught to take decisions, Kajol quoted, “They have to learn how to think for themselves, make their own decisions and find out whether they can live with their consequences or not. That is the only way they will learn whether this decision is the correct thing for them.”
In a recent interview, Kajol spoke about one major nurturing exercise that she gained from her mom. Talking about the same, she said: “My mother has passed down too many things to me. The most important thing that she passed down to me was, ‘You have to make your children think for themselves.’ I think that was the biggest learning that I took back then and that led to everything.”
